ePrint having already installed CrossCompass to provide comprehensive adhoc query capabilities
against their helpdesk system, decided to capitalise on their CrossCompass investment
via it's API suite.
They asked us to design and develop an order process system
that would interact with their existing SQL-Server based
helpdesk system.
The proposed system would access
their existing customer data to allow them to add orders for any customer. This management of customer
orders would also allow them to generate software licences
and associated invoices and delivery notes in Microsoft
Excel easily.
Also other useful features of the new system were the authentication of
the user via the windows password and customer
search mechanisms through the use of the embedded query server
inherent
within CrossCompass.
This embedded query server allowed users to run adhoc database queries
from within the system with minimal lines of code.
