ePrint decided to install CrossCompass adhoc query tools to allow
them to easily access the wealth of information on their customer
database and related issues within the helpdesk system beyond the
inherent helpdesk reporting mechanism.
CrossCompass enabled ePrint to not only run adhoc
database queries but also allowed the in-house developed bespoke
reports to be executed from within the CrossCompass system to
formats such as pre-defined Excel files and drill-down reports.
As ePrints time and familiarity
with CrossCompass grew, they started to
use the ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) suite built
into CrossCompass. This part of the system allowed them
to correct any data problems with the SQL-Server
based helpdesk system.
Beyond this, ePrint started to use CrossCompass to
modify the data within databases used by their own printing systems
for testing purposes.
CrossCompass in this case easily
integrated with ePrint's helpdesk utilising a SQL-Server 2000
database and their own Access based databases used to
control and monitor all users within a corporate printing
environment and their associated requirements.
