Recently we were asked to provide some of these services for one of our existing clients. This client has CrossCompass already installed and uses it to access their Helpdesk system for both ad-hoc queries and bespoke reporting.

We were asked if the CrossCompass API suite could be used to develop an order process system to integrate with their customer information and process software orders to generate invoices and delivery notes in Microsoft Excel.

This project entailed analysing their business processes, database design and developing of the system to interact with the CrossCompass API.

Due to use of our API we were able to design and build the system in record time.

Bespoke System Development and Integration

The API suite of CrossCompass will allow you and us to develop systems quicker than the duration of normal project timescales and without as many risks, concerns and dependencies.

With CrossCompass installed, developers can:

• Interact with either security mechanism of CrossCompass:
  • validation of windows passwords
  • additional password authentication
• Concentrate on the user interface and rules processing leaving the database interaction to the backoffice components of CrossCompass
• Ignore the reporting aspect of the system as CrossCompass will provide:
  • Ad-hoc querying
  • Bespoke reporting
• Ignore the data maintenance aspect of lookup or reference tables as again CrossCompass can do this as well.
• Ignore the legacy data migration or transformation as CrossCompass can also deal with the data via:
  • the DBA Ad-hoc data transformation/migration suite
  • bespoke transformation suite accessible by CrossCompass
