middleware and legacy integration expertise.
Experience showed that although many companies still
heavily relied on legacy systems and their data, the problem was
accessing this data easily. With newer systems purchased or
developed leading to multiple disparate data sources, integration
became the issue.
Within today's highly diversified database locations,
it's commonplace to have software developers and users utilising different
SQL query, adhoc reporting and ETL tools.
What's more, software development teams will often deploy their
own independent reporting mechanisms. In turn, IT is forced to spend
additional resources to maintain a disparate infrastructure.
